Privacy Policy

This policy explains how StackOps IT Solutions handles personal information when you visit our website or use services we provide.

Last updated: 5 October 2026

01 Information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may receive information you provide directly, such as your name, contact details, company and service enquiry. When you use our website, we may also receive technical and usage information such as your device, browser, approximate connection information, and the pages or features you use.

Information handled for a client while delivering a service may include business or technical information that the client or its users make available to us. The type of information depends on the services the client has enabled and the instructions we receive.

02 How we use information

We use information as appropriate to respond to enquiries, provide and support requested services, administer client relationships, maintain and secure our systems, communicate service-related updates, and meet applicable legal or contractual requirements.

We do not describe every possible use here: the context, the service selected, and any applicable agreement or instructions determine how information is handled.

03 Client dashboards and Microsoft security data

Some client services may include a dashboard or integrations with Microsoft services and security tools. Where a customer authorizes and enables an integration, we may process the information made available through that integration—for example, relevant account, device, sign-in, alert, or security-event information—to deliver the enabled service and provide support.

The data available and the purposes for which we handle it depend on the customer's configuration, permissions, and service instructions. Customers remain responsible for deciding whether to enable an integration and for managing the access they authorize. We do not access Microsoft security data through an integration that the customer has not enabled for the relevant service.

04 WhatsApp security alerts and Meta

If a customer configures WhatsApp security alerts, contact details and alert information may be processed to deliver those notifications. The alerts and their recipients depend on the customer's configuration and the service enabled.

WhatsApp is a service provided by Meta. Use of WhatsApp and associated processing by Meta is also subject to Meta's terms and privacy information. StackOps does not control Meta's independent processing of information on its platforms.

05 Service providers and data security

We may use service providers to support our website, communications, hosting, and delivery of requested services. Those providers may process information as needed for their services and under the arrangements applicable to them. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, and systems.

We use measures intended to help protect information, taking account of its nature and how it is handled. No website, transmission, or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

06 Retention

We keep information for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, to provide an enabled service, to meet applicable legal or contractual obligations, and to address disputes or enforce agreements. Retention can vary by information type, service, and customer instructions.

07 Your choices and privacy requests

You may contact us to ask about personal information associated with you, or to request access, correction, deletion, or other action where applicable law provides that right. A customer who uses our client services should also contact their organization, which may control the relevant information or integration.

We may need to verify your identity and authority before acting. How we respond depends on the nature of the request, the information involved, and applicable legal obligations. We may be unable to fulfil a request in full where an exception or other obligation applies.

Send privacy requests to support@stackopsit.co.za with the subject Privacy Request.

08 Children

Our website and services are intended for businesses and their authorized users, not for children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can review the matter.

09 Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to our website, services, or information practices. The date at the top indicates when this version was last updated. Please review this page periodically for the current version.
